I love seeing aircraft flying over my home, that I worked on during 22 years in the RAAF, still in perfect condition.
These included the Neptune, Vampire, Dakota, Winjeel, Macchi, Mirage, Sabre, Orion and, during my training days, the Meteor.
Having retired in June 1979 and still seeing them flying is pure magic.

    Hi Ray

Thanks for your mail. On the weekend 30 June to 1 July we will have an open cockpit/engine run weekend open to the public where a lot of these aircraft will be started and run.

    Cheers

Sir, Could you please advise when and where I could see you Lockheed Super Constellation – perhaps to walk through and view and perhaps also see it take off and land?

    Regards,
    Darryl Kelly

My thanks to HARS and my appreciation for giving one of my old girlfriends a second life! I was a design engineer in the Constellation Project at Lockheed in Burbank, California, starting in 1951. I probably saw this aircraft on one of my professional visits to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tuscon, Arizona in their military aircraft graveyard many years later.
