The HARS DC4 completed a successful ferry flight on Monday the 21st December 2009, arriving on time to its new home in Albion Park, NSW. HARS members and visitors were in attendance for the arrival. The DC4 adds to the HARS collection a truly unique and interesting part of Australia’s aviation history.
Following an exhaustive one and a half year interstate restoration effort, the HARS C54 is now ready for its flight to its new home at Illawarra Regional Airport, one hour south of Sydney. The DC4 recovery team are edging closer to flight with the retraction tests underway at Brisbane’s Archerfield Airport.
