Spitfire stages through HARS at Albion Park

On 10 December the Mk VIII Spitfire owned by the Temora Aviation Museum staged through Albion Park in order to overfly the funeral of well known Australian World War 2 spitfire and Kittyhawk pilot Ted Sly RAAF. DFC MID. Ted was involved in the Temora museum right from the very start, and wrote a book about his RAAF service called “The Luck of the Draw”. Ted’s funeral was held at St Mark’s Anglican Church, cnr Darling Point Rd & Greenoaks Ave, Darling Point Sydney commencing at 11.00 am. There were no flowers by request, with donations in lieu to the Spitfire Association.
