DC4 Completes Four Engine Run

The HARS DC4 recovery team have this week achieved an important milestone, with the running of all four engines at Brisbane’s Archerfield Airport. With the first of a series of four engine runs now completed the DC-4 recovery team will focus their energies on the outstanding issues that will require completion prior to the delivery/ferry flight. Congratulations to the team and we’re all looking forward to seeing this rare bird take flight again.

HARS members have been hard at work in the Queensland sun, with the re-installation of the DC-4 outboard wing panel this week. The DC-4 which has sat static at Archerfield Airport for many years, is undergoing a program of inspections and maintenance that will bring the grand liner back to airworthy condition so she may be flown back to her new base at Albion Park, NSW.
