Our Museum will Close for National Day of Mourning – Thursday, 22 September

HARS Aviation Museum will close for the National Day of Mourning, as a mark of respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday 22 September.

At various times the Queen travelled on four of the historic aircraft on display at HARS Aviation Museum.

The collection of more than 50 aircraft of Australia’s aviation heritage includes the Queen’s Flight C-47 from her first visit to Australia in 1954, a section of the former Boeing 707 used by both Qantas and the RAAF, the double record holding former Qantas Boeing 747-400 and, still under restoration in the United States, John Travolta’s Boeing 707 back when it was operated by Qantas.
