Catalina completes touch and go water landings for the public 12.00 Tuesday 23 April in leadup to Wings Over Illawarra Airshow

At mid day on Tuesday 23rd April as part of the lead up to this years Wings Over Illawarra Airshow on Sunday 5th May at nearby Illawarra Regional Airport,  the HARS PBY6A Catalina “Black Cat” seaplane  performed public touch and go landings on Lake Illawarra near Albion Park NSW.  Many members of the public watched from Kanahooka Point Park whilst the big HARS water bird performed on the water.  Following the Catalina’s demonstration, Chris Clark performed an aerobatic routine over Lake Illawarra in his 1943 USAAF Boeing Stearman Kaydet pilot trainer.  To find out more about the annual air show Wings Over Illawarra see www.woi.org.au.
