6th July 2015 marked the centenary of the death of Lawrence Hargrave. HARS is making a special effort to remember this amazing engineer, explorer, astronomer, inventor and aeronautical pioneer
During our July Open Days (10-12 July) there will be a display of replicas of Hargraves’ kites. A replica of Hargraves’ rotary engine will be operated. These will be supported by a display of models in a mobile trailer, and the showing of the movie “Father of Flight”.
Join us at the HARS Museum as we celebrate the life of this wonderful inventor of flight.
