Work continues on the wing spars of the Southern Cross. Diaphragms (vertical spacers) have been fitted, and fine plywood webs are being fitted to the sides of each spar to enclose them. Following this ribs will be manufactured and slid over the spars. Some of the detail can be seen in the photo.
