HARS Supports 50th Anniversary of Battle of Long Tan

Dak-and-Bou-from-Cat-25042012croppedThursday 18th August 2016 is the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, a significant battle involving Australian military personnel during the Vietnam War. HARS supported the anniversary celebrations with aircraft flypasts. On Sunday 14th August a HARS Caribou flew over the Vietnam memorial on Flagstaff Hill in Wollongong. On Thursday 18th August two HARS Caribous and a HARS C-47 participated in a flyover of the anniversary celebrations in Canberra. All these aircraft are Vietnam veterans.
